Michonne - The Walking Dead

Michonne was part of a set with Rick and I had to buy them both.  I was concerned about painting her because I have heard that African flesh tones can be difficult to get right.

I painted her headband with some stripes of color and then a thinned down off white over top to try and mute the color.  Her zombie heads turned out really well with the gloss treatments on their eyes and mouths giving a wet look where I wanted it.

Her base is ambrosia maple with 5 coats of danish oil on it and she is positioned on hers opposite of Rick on his.  She was shown at Jerseyfest in 2015 and won a Bronze.
