Wonderfest Class Bust - Repaint

The more I looked at the bust from the class, the more mold lines I found so, I stripped him down and set to work on getting rid of them.  They weren't hard to remove and it gave me an opportunity to practice some of the techniques more.

I followed similar steps to what was already defined from the class but did a bit more watercolor wash on the horns.  Below are pictures of the end result.

I decided with the base to go with an off white tinted with some green watercolor and brushed with some metallic wax in certain areas to make it look like an old metal and stone pedestal.

The artistic side of me took one more photograph that I think turned out really cool and shows detail in the face.

He will  be going to be shown at Jerseyfest in August.
